Local operations for hardware founders · 深圳

Your ops team in Shenzhen. You build. We handle the rest.

You came to Shenzhen for the hardware. We take care of everything around it: your SIM and payments, a flat and a desk, drivers and interpreters, deliveries, and whatever gets stuck. Message us what you need. A local operator sorts it out and sends back proof it’s done.

  • Scope and fees agreed first
  • Nothing bought without your OK
  • Proof on every task

Example request

Samples are ready at a supplier in Bao’an. Can someone collect them and courier them to Berlin?

Yes. I’ll confirm a pickup time with the supplier and send you two courier quotes before booking.

Wherever you are in the trip

Here for a week, a season, or already gone.

Days to two weeks

Make the trip count.

Arrive connected and paying like a local, sleep near your meetings, and get to the factory with a driver and interpreter booked.

Landing Pack

One to six months

Settle in. Get building.

A flat, a desk, working internet and a bench to solder on, then someone to call when everyday things go sideways.

Setup Pack

Back home already

Keep a pair of hands here.

Parcels received and forwarded, samples collected, errands run, while you’re back at your desk in another time zone.

Remote support

What we handle

The work around your work.

Everything outside the hardware itself. If it needs a local person, a phone call in Mandarin or a trip across town, send it our way.

Out in the city, so you don’t have to be.

Everyday problems

Anything that breaks, stalls or needs a local person to sort it out. The router dies, a delivery vanishes, the landlord stops replying. Send it over.

Portrait of Monica Ding

Your person on the ground

Meet Monica Ding.

Head of operations, and your point of contact in Shenzhen.

You shouldn’t have to manage a landlord, a courier and a broken router while you’re trying to ship a prototype.

Send Monica the context in a message. She agrees the scope with you, brings in the right local people, keeps you posted and closes every task with proof. One person who knows your situation, not a different stranger every time.

  • Scope, fees and outside costs agreed before work starts
  • Nothing bought or signed without your approval
  • No hidden commissions or supplier kickbacks
  • A named owner and a completion record for every task

How it works

Message us. We sort it. You get proof.

No platform to learn and no subscription needed to start. Plain-language messages are enough.

  1. 01

    Tell us what you need

A few lines about the task, the timing and where you are. After the first reply we talk on WhatsApp, Telegram or email, whichever already works on your phone.

  2. 02

    Agree the plan

Scope, our fee, any outside costs and what “done” looks like, all clear before anything starts.

  3. 03

    We handle it locally

Your operator coordinates the people involved and checks with you before any decision or spend.

  4. 04

    Proof it’s done

A photo, receipt or short note when the task is closed, with anything still open clearly flagged.

Packs & support

Start with a pack. Keep us as long as you need.

Just one thing to sort out?

Single tasks are welcome too, quoted to fit the job.

Send us a task

Every pack is quoted for your trip. Our service fee is kept separate from rent, deposits, shipping and purchases, which pass through at cost, with any handling fee shown before you agree. A local address or storage is included only when explicitly arranged.

Where we fit

We handle life and logistics. The hardware stays with the experts.

We work alongside your makerspace, accelerator, engineers and factory, not instead of them.

We’re not a sourcing agent, contract manufacturer, engineering firm, accelerator or makerspace. When you need one, we can point you to qualified providers, and any referral fee is disclosed upfront.

Referred to specialists

  • Sourcing and supplier selection
  • Engineering and DFM
  • Manufacturing
  • Quality inspection
  • Legal, visa and accounting filings

For makerspaces, accelerators and hacker houses

We look after your members’ life and logistics, so your team can stay on the hardware.

Member packs, a named operations contact for your team and transparent referral terms, agreed and disclosed in advance.

Questions

The practical bits.

Pencil-and-watercolour illustration of the Shenzhen Bay waterfront, with a bench under a tree and the skyline across the water.
Do I need WeChat to work with you?

No. Most people arriving don’t have WeChat working yet, so we talk on WhatsApp, Telegram or email. Getting WeChat Pay and Alipay running is part of the Landing Pack.

Can I ask for just one thing?

Yes. Packs cover arrival and setup, and ongoing support suits repeat needs, but a single task can be quoted on its own. You never need a subscription to buy a pack or a one-off task.

Can you help before I arrive or after I leave?

That’s a big part of it. Tell us what needs arranging in Shenzhen and when. We’ll confirm what can be handled locally and what needs you there in person.

How do payments and outside costs work?

Our fee is separate from rent, deposits, shipping and purchases. Any handling charge is shown in the estimate and any referral fee is disclosed. Nothing is bought or committed without your approval, and sending a request here doesn’t create a booking or a payment obligation.

What don’t you handle?

Sourcing, supplier selection, engineering, manufacturing and quality inspection stay with specialists, as do legal, visa and accounting work. We can suggest qualified providers where available and confirm scope and any referral fee first.

How will I know a task is done?

We agree what “done” means before starting. Your operator reports back with a photo, receipt or written note and flags anything still open. Response times are agreed with you; this isn’t a 24-hour emergency service.

Let’s take something off your list

What do you need done?

A few lines are enough to start. Tell us what you’re working around and when, and we’ll come back with a plan.

A real person reads every request.

No payment, no commitment. We review it by hand and reply by email to talk through scope and availability.

Requests are saved to a private inbox and reviewed by hand.

Please leave out passports, payment details and other sensitive documents.
